How are the treatments performed?

Your treatments are done using a specialized technique tailored to the type of treatment you're receiving—whether it's scar camouflage, inkless stretchmark revision, or scar revision. Here's an overview of how each treatment is performed:

1. Scar Camouflage

  • Step 1: A detailed consultation to assess the scar and determine the best approach for treatment.

  • Step 2: The treatment area is cleaned.

  • Step 3: Using a fine tattoo needle and specialized pigments that match your skin tone, I carefully implant the pigment into the scar tissue, blending it with your natural skin to create the appearance of a more even skin tone.

  • Step 4: After the procedure, you’ll be given aftercare instructions to ensure proper healing.

2. Inkless Stretchmark Revision

  • Step 1: Similar to scar camouflage, your treatment area is evaluated and cleaned.

  • Step 2: A non-pigmented treatment is applied to the stretch marks to stimulate collagen production and improve skin texture. This treatment helps to blend the stretch marks with the surrounding skin.

  • Step 3: After the treatment, a healing ointment is applied, and you’ll receive aftercare instructions to maximize healing and results.

3. Scar Revision

  • Step 1: A thorough consultation to understand the nature of the scar and its characteristics.

  • Step 2: After cleaning the area, I use a combination of specialized techniques to revise the scar, blending it with your natural skin tone and texture.

  • Step 3: After the treatment, you’ll receive aftercare instructions, which will include guidance on avoiding sun exposure and other healing tips.

Treatment Process for All Procedures

  • Each treatment typically involves 2-3 sessions, spaced out to allow the skin to heal and to ensure the best results.

  • The process is relatively non-invasive, though the area may feel slightly tender during and after the procedure.

  • The treatments are designed to be customizable for your specific needs, ensuring that the result is as natural and effective as possible.

During your consultation, I will assess your individual case to determine the best treatment plan for you and ensure you understand the process every step of the way.

Inkless Stretch Mark

Revision Treatments.

Overview: Inkless Stretch Mark Revision (ISR) treatments use specialized serums that are applied topically or through microneedling to improve the texture, color, and overall appearance of scars. These serums often contain ingredients that promote collagen production, hydration, and skin regeneration.

Benefits:

Improved Skin Texture: Serums can soften and smooth scar tissue, making the scar less raised or rough.

Reduced Discoloration: Some serums help fade discoloration, making scars less noticeable.

Enhanced Skin Health: Serums often contain nourishing ingredients that improve skin health overall, encouraging natural regeneration.

Non-Pigmented: Since no color is added, scar serum treatments can be used to enhance scar texture even if complete color matching isn’t a goal.

What is Camouflage Tattoo?

Camouflage Tattoo is a cosmetic technique that uses skin-tone pigments and specialized serums to blend scars or stretch marks into the surrounding skin, effectively reducing their visibility. Also known as paramedical tattooing, this method applies custom pigments and serums tailored to each person’s unique skin tone, ensuring a natural, seamless effect.

I use NUE Conceal for all my scar camouflage and stretch mark treatments, as it’s highly effective for various types of scars, including surgical scars, injury scars, acne scars, and stretch marks. The process typically requires multiple sessions, allowing for a gradual build-up of color to achieve optimal results.

This careful layering technique provides a long-lasting, confidence-boosting outcome, enabling individuals to feel more comfortable in their skin. Additionally, the treatment can enhance the texture of the scarred area, further improving the skin’s overall appearance.

Who's A Good Candidate?

A good candidate for scar camouflage tattoo treatment or scar revision has fully healed scars (usually 12-18 months old) with stable color, ideal for blending with skin-tone pigments or improving the scar's overall appearance. Scar camouflage tattooing works best for scars that are lighter or darker than the surrounding skin, providing a seamless, long-lasting result. Scar revision, on the other hand, addresses the texture and appearance of scars, helping smooth and enhance the area. Candidates should be comfortable with tattooing, able to commit to multiple sessions, and follow aftercare guidelines, including moisturizing and avoiding sun exposure.

For scar serum treatment, ideal candidates have textured scars (raised or indented) or newer scars still improving in texture and color. This non-pigmented option focuses on smoothing and enhancing skin health through specialized serums and is suitable for all skin tones. Candidates should expect gradual improvement, be prepared for repeated sessions, and maintain aftercare to support the skin’s healing process.

All treatments work well for individuals with realistic expectations and a commitment to aftercare, offering options to reduce scar visibility, enhance texture, and improve overall skin confidence.

With NUE Conceal, I provide a variety of scar revision options, including inkless stretch mark revision, scar camouflage tattoo treatments, and tailored scar revision techniques. Each approach offers unique benefits to reduce scar visibility, allowing you to choose the most suitable solution for your individual needs.

Choosing the Right Treatment .

Here are 3 key differences between Scar Camouflage Tattoo, Inkless Stretch Mark Revision, and Scar Revision:

1. Pigments vs. Serums:

Scar Camouflage Tattoo uses pigments to blend scars with surrounding skin.
Inkless Stretch Mark Revision relies on healing serums to improve texture without adding color.
Scar revision approaches differ and can include the use of pigments or serums, depending on the scar's
characteristics.

2. Primary Goal:

Scar Camouflage Tattoo focuses on concealing scars.
Inkless Stretch Mark Revision improves texture and promotes skin regeneration.
Scar Revision aims to enhance both appearance and function.

3. Best Applications:

Scar Camouflage Tattoo suits flat, discolored scars.
Inkless Stretch Mark Revision is ideal for stretch marks and shallow scars.
Scar revision is effective for fresh scars, hypertrophic scars, and minor keloids, helping to smooth and reduce
visibility.

How Much Does Camouflage Tattoo Cost?

Camouflage tattoo pricing typically ranges from $300 to $4,000, depending on factors such as the size of the area, its location, and the type of treatment selected. I offer three treatment options: scar camouflage, inkless stretchmark revision, and scar revision, and the pricing can vary based on which option is best suited for your needs. Most clients can expect to undergo 2-3 sessions, though this may vary depending on the complexity of the area and how the skin responds to treatment.

For many of my treatments, pricing stays below $1,600 unless you’re looking to treat a larger area, such as a half or full limb.
